Hidden Numbers Worksheets

Updated October 2026 · 4 free printables

Hidden numbers worksheets turn number recognition into a search game. On the farm the numbers 1 to 6 hide in the animals and around the barn: one is the pig's curly tail, one is a fence post, one swims in the pond like a swan. Under the sea, in outer space and in a snowy winter village, all ten digits from 0 to 9 are hidden.

Kids have to spot each digit even when it is lying on its side or pretending to be a bubble, a comet or an icicle, which is great practice for knowing numbers by their shape. Every worksheet has an answer key on page 2.

Frequently asked questions

What skills do hidden numbers worksheets practice?

Recognizing digits by their shape, even when they are turned or drawn in an unusual way. They also build focus, visual discrimination and patience.

Which page should we start with?

Start with the farm page: it hides only the numbers 1 to 6 and they are larger. Then try under the sea and outer space (0 to 9), and save the winter village for last because its digits are the smallest.

Can I use them in a math center?

Yes. Slip a page into a sheet protector and let kids circle the numbers with a dry-erase marker, then check with the answer key on page 2.
