Spot the Difference: In the Kitchen
Here are two pictures of a family kitchen with a toaster, a fruit bowl, a cookie jar, a wall clock, a big fridge and a puppy waiting for a treat. In the bottom one, 7 things are not the same as in the top one. Some changes are easy to spot and some need a careful second look, good for grades 1 and 2. Circle the differences, count them on the tick circles and finish with coloring. Answers are on page 2.

About this worksheet
Here are two pictures of a family kitchen with a toaster, a fruit bowl, a cookie jar, a wall clock, a big fridge and a puppy waiting for a treat. In the bottom one, 7 things are not the same as in the top one. Some changes are easy to spot and some need a careful second look, good for grades 1 and 2. Circle the differences, count them on the tick circles and finish with coloring. Answers are on page 2. Medium puzzles need a little planning, but no guessing. Brown and white like a beagle, or golden like a retriever.
Tips for using it
- Give the collar a bright color.
- Scan in a pattern: compare the top left corner of both pictures, then move across and down, so no part gets skipped.
- Check the sky and the edges too; changes often hide away from the main character.
- Say what you see out loud (three candles, two candles) to catch changes in numbers.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
