About this worksheet
A free printable match the 3d shapes to their names worksheet with an answer key. Draw a line from each solid shape to its name. Big pictures and only a few tasks per page make it a gentle start for kindergartners.
Tips for using it
- Turn a real box or can in your hands before naming the drawing: count the faces you can touch.
- Remember that dashed lines are edges at the back. Count them too when you find edges and vertices.
- A sphere has no flat face, so it is the only basic solid that can roll in every direction.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
