About this worksheet
Five friendly caterpillars with color patterns on their bodies. Kids read the colors from the head to the tail and color the blank last segment. The answer key is on page 2. Little ones can do most of it with crayons, and a grown-up can read the short questions aloud.
Tips for using it
- Point to each item and say it out loud, then say what comes next before drawing it.
- Name the pattern with letters once your child gets it: red, yellow is an AB pattern.
- Use real objects (blocks, buttons, snacks) to build the same pattern before doing the page.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
