About this worksheet
Seven rows of colored circles, squares, triangles, stars, hearts and more. Some rows change the shape, some only the color, and the last rows use three and four shapes. The answer key is on page 2. It is made for pre-K and preschool, roughly ages 4 to 5, with big pictures and one number per page.
Tips for using it
- Point to each item and say it out loud, then say what comes next before drawing it.
- Name the pattern with letters once your child gets it: red, yellow is an AB pattern.
- Use real objects (blocks, buttons, snacks) to build the same pattern before doing the page.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
