About this worksheet
The first line drawing page: a rocket with a nose cone, a window, fins and a flame, drawn from corner to corner of a 10 by 10 grid, plus three stars. Kids copy every line into the bigger grid. The answer key is on page 2. Second graders usually finish it in 10 to 15 minutes.
Tips for using it
- Copy one square at a time and check where each line enters and leaves the square before you draw.
- Draw lightly in pencil first; when the whole picture is in place, trace over it and color it.
- Turn the example picture upside down for a challenge: it stops your brain from guessing and makes you copy what you really see.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
