About this worksheet
A long-neck dinosaur with a curvy tail, a smiling head and sturdy legs, on a labeled 12 by 12 grid. The long curves crossing many squares make this one of the harder pages. The answer key is on page 2. Expect it to take fourth graders about 15 to 20 minutes with careful work. Green, blue or purple dinosaurs with contrasting spots look great.

Tips for using it
- Make the volcano red and orange.
- Copy one square at a time and check where each line enters and leaves the square before you draw.
- Draw lightly in pencil first; when the whole picture is in place, trace over it and color it.
- Turn the example picture upside down for a challenge: it stops your brain from guessing and makes you copy what you really see.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
