About this worksheet
Number words from one to ten next to their numerals, to trace on handwriting lines and write again. Connects counting with reading and spelling the words. It suits ages 4 to 6, and little ones can count the pictures with a finger. Say the number out loud each time you trace it.
Tips for using it
- Trace the big number with a finger first, then color it in your favorite color.
- Count the pictures twice: once by pointing, once by coloring a dot on each one.
- Use real objects like coins or pasta to build the number before writing it.
- Check the grip first: pencil held between thumb and pointer finger, resting on the middle finger.
Printing tips
Download the PDF for the sharpest result and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). The PNG is 300 DPI, which is handy for tablets and coloring apps. This page is free for personal, family and classroom use.
