About this game
A creativity page built on one shape: six wavy lines, the first already turned into a snake as an example. Kids make the other five into something new each time (ideas: a snake, the sea, a worm, a scarf blowing in the wind, hair, a road or icing on a cake) and write what each one became. First graders can do it on their own once they know the strategy at the top of the page.
Tips for using it
- Say the shape's name and spin the page; a triangle upside down looks like an ice cream cone.
- Ask what the shape could be if it were tiny, and what if it were huge.
- Add a line under the box for the name of the thing, and spell it together.
Printing tips
Download the PDF for the sharpest result and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). The PNG is 300 DPI, which is handy for tablets and coloring apps. This page is free for personal, family and classroom use.
