About this worksheet
A color by sight word picture of a flying saucer with a friendly alien in its glass dome beaming light onto the moon, with a ringed planet and stars. Each space shows a Dolch Third Grade sight word (about, cut, far, if, never, six and try); read it, find the matching crayon in the key and color. The colored picture is the answer key on page 2. It is aimed at third grade readers, around ages 8 to 9.
Tips for using it
- Read the whole crayon key together before starting, pointing at each word.
- Color one word at a time: find every space with that word, color them all, then move to the next crayon.
- Say the word out loud every time a space is colored, so reading and coloring go together.
- Check with the answer key on page 2 when the picture is done.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
