About this worksheet
Read four counting sentences (three stars, two balloons, a hen with four eggs, five apples) and draw them. 4 short sentences to read, each with a big box to draw the picture. Page 2 shows a sample picture for every sentence. A free kindergarten read-and-draw reading worksheet. Kindergartners can point under each word with a finger as they read it out loud. Count the pictures twice: once by pointing, once by coloring a dot on each one.
Tips for using it
- Say the number out loud each time you trace it.
- Trace the big number with a finger first, then color it in your favorite color.
- Use real objects like coins or pasta to build the number before writing it.
- Before reading, look at the picture and the title together and guess what the passage will be about.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
