About this worksheet
Two matching pictures of a cozy Christmas living room with a decorated tree, presents, stockings on the fireplace, milk and cookies for Santa and a cat napping on the rug, except that the bottom one hides 7 changes. The changes are a mix of missing, added and changed things for grades 1 and 2. Tick a circle for every find, then color the scenes. The answer key on page 2 circles and lists each difference. Medium puzzles need a little planning, but no guessing. Red, green and gold make a classic Christmas palette.
Tips for using it
- Try a ginger tabby, a black cat or a calico.
- Color the inside of the ears pink.
- Add white for snow.
- Scan in a pattern: compare the top left corner of both pictures, then move across and down, so no part gets skipped.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. The PNG shows page 1 only. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
