About this worksheet
A free printable pre-writing worksheet: kids trace wavy lines from the kite to the cloud. The first rows are dark dashed lines with a green start dot, the last rows fade to light dashes and dots, so little hands build pencil control step by step. It is made for pre-K and preschool, roughly ages 4 to 5, with big pictures and one number per page.
Tips for using it
- Sit at a table with feet flat on the floor; good posture makes tracing much easier for little hands.
- Let your child trace the line with a finger first, then with a crayon.
- Praise staying close to the line, not perfection: wobbly is normal at this age.
Printing tips
Download the PDF for the sharpest result and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). The PNG is 300 DPI, which is handy for tablets and coloring apps. This page is free for personal, family and classroom use.
