About this worksheet
Six arrays of wrapped gifts, from 2 rows of 5 to 4 rows of 6, for third graders to turn into multiplication sentences: count the rows, count the gifts in each row, then write rows x columns = total. Arrays make the meaning of multiplication visible before the times tables are memorized. Answer key on page 2. Third graders can use it for practice, review or a quick check before a test. Red, green and gold make a classic Christmas palette.

Tips for using it
- Circle the facts that took longest and practice just those tomorrow.
- Skip-count out loud to check any fact you are not sure about.
- Add white for snow.
- Make a three-page packet per child: one word search, one maze and one math or reading page at their level. It fills a quiet 20 minutes.
