About this worksheet
The hardest Christmas maze on the site: 20 by 22 cells, 440 of them, between Santa at the top and the plate of cookies and a mug of milk at the bottom. For older kids and grown-ups; the red solution on page 2 saves the day if needed. Take your time: every hard puzzle is solvable by logic alone. Red, green and gold make a classic Christmas palette.
This maze by the numbers
On this 20 x 22 grid the only correct path runs through 87 of the 440 squares (about 20%) and turns 51 times between START and FINISH. It has 50 dead ends where a wrong turn stops, and most kids at this level finish it in about 6 minutes. Bonus challenge: after you reach FINISH, color the 87 squares of the right path in one color, then hunt down all 50 dead ends and mark each one with an X. If you count fewer than 50, keep looking!
Tips for using it
- Trace the correct path with a highlighter once you solve it.
- Color the start and finish arrows in green and red.
- Add white for snow.
- Make a three-page packet per child: one word search, one maze and one math or reading page at their level. It fills a quiet 20 minutes.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
