About this worksheet
Each row of stars is a skip-counting job: one star means 5 stickers, so Eli's 8 stars are 40, Ben's 7 stars are 35 and Leo's 2 stars are 10. The questions ask for Eli's total, who earned the most (Eli), how many more Ben earned than Leo (25), Eli and Leo together (50) and, in reverse, how many stars would show 35 stickers (7). Page 2 gives the five answers. Third graders need about ten minutes. The reverse question is the useful one, because it asks the child to divide by 5 instead of multiply, and it is the kind of question that shows whether the key was understood or just applied.

Tips for using it
- Have your child count by 5s along each row with a finger and write the total at the end.
- Ask how many stars 20 stickers would need, then 45.
- Compare Ben and Leo by counting the extra stars and multiplying by 5.
- Make a sticker chart for the week at home with the same key.
