About this worksheet
Five horizontal bars show how many minutes each child read on Monday, on a grid where every line is 5 minutes and only every other line is labeled (0, 10, 20 up to 60). Leo read 15 minutes, Aria read the longest, Aria beat Ben by 10, the top two readers add to 100 minutes and all five add to 180. The six questions also ask how many more minutes Leo needs to reach 60 (45), a count-up question rather than a reading question. Page 2 lists the answers. Third graders need about fifteen minutes. Reading the unlabeled lines as 5, 15, 25 is the skill, so labeling them lightly in pencil first is fair.

- Write each child's minutes at the end of their bar.
- Ask who read for more than half an hour.
- Time your child's own reading tonight and add a sixth bar on the back.
