About this worksheet
Each riddle takes three or four short sentences to describe something in the sky or something you use outside: "I am white and fluffy. I float high in the sky. Rain falls out of me" is the second one, and the last describes something that flies on a windy day at the end of a string. Three pictures sit next to each riddle for the child to choose from. Kindergartners need about six minutes, and the page fits a morning weather routine. After solving, look out the window and ask which of the four answers you could see or use today.
Tips for using it
- Look out the window and say which answers fit today's weather.
- Underline the clue that helped most in each riddle.
- Draw the sky with all four answers in it.
- Make up a riddle about snow and ask someone to guess.
