About this worksheet
Six winter pictures on the left (hat, sock, sled, mug, bell, star) and six rhyming pictures mixed up on the right (cat, clock, bed, bug, shell, car). Children say both names, listen for the same ending and connect the dots with a line; the words are printed under the pictures for early readers. The key shows the six lines in red. Big pictures and only a few tasks per page make it a gentle start for kindergartners. Add white for snow.
Tips for using it
- Red, green and gold make a classic Christmas palette.
- Make a three-page packet per child: one word search, one maze and one math or reading page at their level. It fills a quiet 20 minutes.
- Print the answer keys once and keep them in a folder; the kids can check their own word searches and mazes.
- For a mixed-age family, give everyone the same theme at a different level: the picture word search for the 5-year-old, the Christmas Challenge word search for the 9-year-old.
Printing tips
Download the PDF and print at 100% (or “fit to page” on A4). Page 1 is the worksheet and page 2 is the answer key with the answers in red; print just page 1 if you want to keep the answers for checking. Free for personal, family and classroom use.
