About this game
The left half of the robot is printed solid: an antenna with a ball on top, a square head with one round eye and half a mouth, a boxy body with a screen and two dials, an arm with a claw hand and a leg with a rounded foot. The right half repeats it in gray dots along the dashed center line. Three prompt cards with done circles follow: give the robot buttons, lights and a screen, draw what the robot is holding, add wheels or rocket boots and a robot pet. Kindergartners trace the straight lines well; add ten minutes for the prompts. Page 2 shows a finished robot, and the footer suggests the whiteboard half-drawing game.
Tips for using it
- Use a ruler for the straight edges of the head and body if you like.
- Make the right eye the same size as the left one.
- Decide what the robot holds before drawing its right hand.
- Give the robot a name and a job and write it on the back.
